What this build is for

The dual-purpose high-end pick — the ship you buy when you don't want a separate hull for bounty hunting and PvP.

• 4× S4 wings cross 4.7's armor threshold against any fighter-class target
• 26,400 shield HP from dual S2 shields — survives engagements that melt a Hornet
• Doesn't excel at either job — but does both well enough to be your only combat hull
• Paladin punches harder vs cap-class; Arrow out-flies it in duels

The build

• Wing weapons: 4× espr_lasercannon_s4 Lightstrike IV S4 cannons. alpha energy — same family as the Hornet PvP build, doubled.
• Shields: dual shld_godi_s02_fullstop_scitem Fullstop S2 (the source of the 26,400 HP).
• Systems: stock powr_aegs_s02_maelstrom_scitem Maelstrom PP, cool_aegs_s02_arctic_scitem Arctic S2 cooler + S1 Bracer, qdrv_wetk_s02_crossfield_scitem Crossfield QDrive, radr_grnp_s02_epier Epier radar.
• Missiles: stock 2× MX racks, 24× S2 missiles total.

Why Guardian MX over Paladin

• Paladin: 3× S5/S6 turrets, built for alpha through capital armor. Heavier, slower, 15.9M aUEC.
• Guardian MX: 4× S4 + 24 missiles, built for sustained pressure on fighters/mids. Faster (208 vs 175 SCM), cheaper.
• Take Paladin if your bounties end in shielded heavies that laugh at S4.
• Take Guardian MX if you want one ship doing PvE bounty and PvP.

When not to use this build

• Cap-class bounty. Take a Paladin. S4 cannons clear fighter armor, not capital plating.
• Stealth approaches. ~68k EM is the loudest fighter signature in the slate. Use a Sabre.
• PvP duels against faster ships. Wins on durability, not maneuvering. Arrow/Hornet pilots can stay outside your guns.
• VLRT/MRT bounty. Massive overkill. Use a Shiv.
