What this build is for
Flying the Hull-C in 4.7 with eyes open. 4.7 made it the prey, not the upgrade target — every solo run is a salvage mission that hasn't happened yet.

The build
- Wing weapons: none. Hull-C exposes zero pilot weapon hardpoints. That's the ship.
- Shields: stock 3× shld_basl_s03_stronghold_scitem Stronghold S3 — same shield as a Paladin. well-rounded high-HP, capital-grade.
- Power: stock powr_aegs_s03_centurion_scitem Centurion S3. Fine for cargo work; nothing to tune for combat because there is no combat to tune for.
- Turrets: stock misc_hull_c_nose_turret_s5 nose turret + 2× misc_hull_c_scitem_remote_turret remotes (front/rear) + 4× tractor-beam turrets for cargo struts. Crew positions. Solo, they idle.
- Radar: stock radr_chco_s02_surveyor Surveyor S2.
On the 4.7 salvage meta
- 4.7.2 swapped Hull-C for C2 as the salvage TARGET in unverified missions — 20k contracts now spawning Hull-C wrecks (ggwtb 4.7.2 guide).
- The economic math: less hull HP to grind through, same 12M-aUEC payout per cracked hold. Salvagers chose Hull-C the day the patch went live.
- Pirates know what's onboard. EM signature peaks at 53,225 with shields up — you're visible at radar range, and the loot table is public.
- The C2 build calls out the same nerf as a reason to not fly Hull-C alone in contested space. That math hasn't moved.

When not to fly this
- Solo Pyro. The salvage mission spawns there. Don't be the spawn.
- Solo contested Stanton. Pirate orgs farm the lanes. Bring an escort or fly a lower-profile hauler.
- Any run where 4,608 SCU isn't load-bearing. Hull B clears Stanton-internal at 512 SCU with a fraction of the EM and none of the bounty.
- Anyone who gets attached to their cargo. The 4.7 reality is that some of these runs end with you calling insurance.
What patches this is good for
Authored against build 4.7.2-LIVE.11674325. The Hull-C HP nerf and salvage-target swap are the two 4.7 changes defining this build. Re-verify on 4.8 — if CIG either restores hull HP or rotates the salvage mission target, the entire frame here changes.
