What this build is for
The cheapest viable stealth platform in 4.7. 4.7.0 removed passive cross-section detection, which makes the Aurora LN's small EM footprint actually useful.
- Below most combat radars' threshold at moderate distance
- "Social stealth" — Auroras don't pattern-match as a threat the way a Sabre does
- One good first shot, then quantum out
- Not a bounty platform; an approach platform
The build
- Weapons: 4× klwe_laserrepeater_s1 CF-117 Bulldog laser repeaters across all S1 mounts. Same family for consistent timing; repeaters run cool (low IR).
- Power plant: powr_tydt_s01_slipstream_scitem Slipstream — lower EM contribution than stock.
- Stock everything else. Aurora LN ships with stealth-friendly small radar and low-EM shields.
Stats at a glance
EM signature~13,000, IR signature6,500, Shield HP7,920, SCM speed225m/s. For reference: stock Cutlass Black ~3,800 EM (loud); stealth Sabre ~6,500 EM. Aurora sits closer to Sabre than Cutlass.
When not to use this build
- Sustained fights. Small shield, cheap weapons. Win the first shot and quantum out.
- Higher-tier bounties. Aurora isn't the bounty platform.
- Any cargo work. 3 SCU is incidental.
What patches this is good for
Authored against build 4.7.2-LIVE.11674325. 4.7.0's passive cross-section removal makes the build's whole thesis viable. Aurora LN stock loadout unchanged across 4.7.x.
Highlighted cards are variant changes.
